How this calculator works
- 1Base pay is hourly rate × hours per week × weeks per year.
- 2Weekly overtime is paid at time and a half and multiplied across the year.
- 3Any annual bonus is added on top.
Formula
Annual pay = (Rate × Hours × Weeks) + (OT hours × Rate × 1.5 × Weeks) + Bonus
Worked example
- $25 per hour, 40 regular hours plus 5 overtime hours a week, 50 weeks, $1,500 bonus.
- Base: $50,000. Overtime: 5 × $37.50 × 50 = $9,375.
- Total estimated pay: $60,875 for the year.
What we assume
- Overtime is assumed at 1.5× and the same every week.
- Bonuses are shown gross; supplemental withholding often applies.

Does the bonus get taxed differently?
Bonuses are often withheld at a flat supplemental rate, though your final tax bill depends on total income.
Where do shift differentials go?
